The Natural

Boyhood dreams, a bat made from a tree struck by lightning and most importantly, a never-ending passion for the game. Nothing was going to stop Roy Hobbs from fulfilling his boyhood dream of baseball superstardom. Robert Redford stars in this inspiring fable that begins when 14-year-old Hobbs (Redford) fashions a powerful bat from a fallen oak tree. He soon impresses major league scouts with his ability, fixing his extraordinary talent in the mind of sportswriter Max Mercy (Duvall), who eventually becomes instrumental in Hobbs' career.

My Big Fat Greek Wedding

It's not surprising that My Big Fat Greek Wedding grew more popular over the course of its theatrical release (whereas most blockbusters open big and then drop precipitously)--not only does it have believable situations and engaging characters, but these characters (particularly our romantic heroine, Toula, played by writer and performer Nia Vardalos) look like actual human beings instead of plastic movie stars.

Mr. Nice Guy

Jackie Chan is a celebrity chef turned reluctant hero after he rescues a pretty journalist from the clutches of a ruthless drug lord. At stake is an incriminating videotape that has accidentally fallen into Jackie's hands. With the gang in hot pursuit, the action stretches from one spectacular, stunt-filled scene to another. When Jackie's girlfriend is kidnapped and his apartment blown up, this mild-mannered chef cooks up his own recipe for justice. The mob will never know what hit them, because Jackie's back with a vengeance to strike a blow for good guys everywhere.

Moulin Rouge

Winner of 3 Golden Globes and two Academy® Awards, Moulin Rouge is a musical unlike any other. Dive into the trippy underworld of the Moulin Rouge, where an impoverished poet falls in love with a lovely singer/dancer/courtesan. Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman star in this colorful mosaic of modern pop songs and timeless drama.

Miss Congeniality

Sandra Bullock stars as a bumbling female FBI agent assigned to go undercover as a participant in the Miss United States beauty pageant when it is discovered that one of the contestants is being targeted for murder. Benjamin Bratt leads the undercover team, while also playing the reluctant love interest. Candice Bergen and William Shatner manage the pageant and hire Michael Caine to turn Bullock from rough and tumble agent to stunning beauty queen. The physical transformation is impressive, although the klutzy personality remains.

Men In Black

Protecting the earth from the scum of the universe. Working for a highly funded yet unofficial government agency, K (Tommy Lee Jones) and J (Will Smith) are the Men In Black, providers of immigration services and regulators of all things alien on earth. They are our best, last, and only line of defense when close encounters get ugly. They work in secret and they dress in black. They are the best-kept secret in the universe.

Meet The Parents

Randy Newman's opening song, "A Fool in Love," perfectly sets up the movie that follows. The lyrics begin, "Show me a man who is gentle and kind, and I'll show you a loser," before praising the man who takes what he wants. Greg Focker (Ben Stiller) is the fool in love in Meet the Parents. Just as he's about to propose to his girlfriend Pam (Teri Polo), he learns that her sister's fiancÈ asked their father, Jack Byrnes (Robert De Niro), for permission to marry. Now he feels the need to do the same thing.

Meet Joe Black

Bill Parrish has it all - success, wealth and power. Days before his sixtieth birthday, he receives a visit from a mysterious stranger, Joe Black, who soon reveals himself as Death. In exchange for extra time, Bill agrees to serve as Joe's earthly guide. But will he regret his choice when Joe unexpectedly falls in love with Bill's beautiful daughter Susan? Directed by Martin Brest (Scent Of A Woman).

The Matrix

Perception: Our day-in, day-out world is real. Reality: That world is a hoax, an elaborate deception spun by all-powerful machines of artificial intelligence that control us. Whoa. Mind-warp stunts. Techno-slammin' visuals. Mega-kick action. Keanu Reeves and Laurence Fishburne lead the fight to free humankind in The Matrix, the see-and-see-again cyberthriller written and directed by the Wachowski brothers (Bound). The story sears, the special effects stake out new moviemaking territory - the movie flat-out rocks.
