After saving the life of the President, two top Secret Service agents find themselves abruptly transferred to Warehouse 13 — a massive, top-secret storage facility in the badlands of South Dakota that houses every strange artifact, mysterious relic, fantastical object and supernatural souvenir ever collected by the U.S. government. Now the pair — off-the-cuff Agent Pete Lattimer and by-the-book Agent Myka Bering — must chase down reports of supernatural and paranormal activity in search of new objects for their eccentric new boss, Artie Nielsen, to safeguard at the Warehouse.

Some TV series end too soon, leaving us panting for more, while others overstay their welcome, leaving a bad taste (and possibly a jumped shark or two) in their wake. Fortunately, ABC's Ugly Betty has done neither, bowing out just right with this fourth and final season (with 20 episodes, plus bonus material, on four discs) chronicling the adventures of young Betty Suarez (America Ferrera) as she navigates the world of high fashion in New York.

With this third-season boxed set (24 episodes, plus bonus material, on six discs), Ugly Betty continues one of television's most adroit balancing acts. Is the series, which chronicles the urban adventures of young Betty Suarez (American Ferrera), the archetypal fish out of water making her way through the cutthroat world of high fashion, a comedy? A nighttime soap opera? A serious drama? Well, yes.

The second season of Ugly Betty finds the titular heroine juggling the affections of two men, embroiled in ongoing chaos at work, and dealing with some serious drama on the home front. And yes, this truly is a comedy. First there's the aftermath of Santos' death at the end of last season just as he and Betty's sister Hilda (Ana Ortiz) were reconciling. Hilda deals with her grief by befriending a group of senior citizens, while her son (Mark Indelicato) turns from Broadway-loving good boy to leather-wearing bad boy almost overnight.

Based on the popular Colombian telenovela Yo Soy Betty La Fea, Ugly Betty is a biting comedy with plenty of heart. There are several ongoing plots, including murder, illegal immigration, infidelity, a vendetta, and death. And yes, this really is a comedy. Golden Globe winner America Ferrera (The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, Real Women Have Curves) stars as Betty, a whip-smart assistant at a women's magazine who is clueless when it comes to fashion.

In a game-changing turnaround, Division is now run by Nikita, Michael and former CIA analyst Ryan Fletcher, who has been tasked by the U.S. President to clean up after the previous regime... or else. With punk rock hacker Seymour Birkhoff hardwired to the cause, Nikita's protege Alex and ex-Navy SEAL Sean Pierce in the fold, and Owen back from a Russian prison, the new team has all the tech, muscle and spy power they need to round up the Dirty Thirty - rogue assassins who remain at large around the globe.

The pedigree and history of Nikita's birth and development are easily researched elsewhere--see the season-one review for backstory and exposition. And for lucky fans of the show, season two continues the exceptional storytelling and movie-like feel of new installments about the rogue government spy organization known as Division. Maggie Q stars in the title role, a former Division agent now bent on destroying its evil reign by flipping her legs and firing her weapons at her avowed enemy, with a couple of devastating hair tosses and mega-toned body blows thrown in for good measure.

In Nikita, the CW Network has developed another resounding hit on its roster of solid dramatic series that do a nice job of grabbing viewers from a variety of demographics. With season two starting in late September 2011, this slick package of the 22 episodes of season one is a great way of diving into a show that's among the best looking, most tightly produced, and intensely cinematic on the small screen. The title and the premise both come from the 1990 French feature film and early style-setter from writer-director Luc Besson, La Femme Nikita.

As the 2005 theatrical release of Serenity made clear, Firefly was a science fiction concept that deserved a second chance. Devoted fans (or "Browncoats") knew it all along, and with this well-packaged DVD set, those who missed the show's original broadcasts can see what they missed. Creator Joss Whedon's ambitious science-fiction Western (Whedon's third series after Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel) was canceled after only 11 of these 14 episodes had aired on the Fox network, but history has proven that its demise was woefully premature.

Kate Reed (Sarah Shahi, The L Word) never faced a fight she didn’t want…to win. A former lawyer, she’s now a mediator who loves to resolve others’ conflicts. But it’s often her own conflicts that could use some attention. In season two, Kate returns to the firm and discovers that Reed & Reed is on the verge of financial collapse. To save the firm, up-and-coming trial attorney Ben Grogan (Ryan Johnson, CSI: NY) is brought on as a partner. However, Kate finds herself both clashing with Ben’s aggressive, ambulance-chasing ways and yet, romantically drawn to him.
