Role:

Dedh Ishqiya

Dedh Ishqiya is a 2014 Indian comedy thriller film. Out from jail, Khalujaan a.k.a Iftekhar (Naseeruddin Shah) and Babban (Arshad Warsi) have stolen a necklace made of royal jewels and are on the run. They part ways and meet at the Majidabad palace, where Iftekhar is competing with Urdu poets to win the heart of the nawab's widow Begum Para (Madhuri Dixit). Her quick-witted and mysterious friend and assistant Munniya (Huma Qureshi) slowly warms up to Babban and they together plot a kidnapping.

Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara

Three friends decide to turn their fantasy vacation into reality after one of their number becomes engaged. At the beginning of the film, Kabir (Abhay Deol) proposes to Natasha (Kalki Koechlin). Their families meet at the engagement party. At the party, Natasha learns that Kabir is planning a three-week bachelor road trip to Spain with his school friends Imraan (Farhan Akhtar) and Arjun (Hrithik Roshan). Kabir explains that the three have a long-standing pact, and that during the road trip, each of them will have to pick an adventure sport, which all three will try together.

Main Meri Patni Aur Woh

Employed as a Librarian in Lucknow University's Tagore Library, Mithilesh Shukla is a 34-year, vertically challenged (just 5'2") old bachelor, who has an extended family consisting of two sisters and one brother, all married, as well as his widowed mother. His maternal uncle, Advocate Kishorilal Mishra, and his mother persuade him to travel to Bareilly to see a prospective bride, and he does so. He is introduced to statuesque Veena Tiwari, both converse, and find themselves compatible.

Maqbool

Director Vishal Bhardwaj's first foray into the world of Shakespeare is nothing short of astounding--Maqbool is one of the finest adaptations of 'Macbeth' ever produced. His interpretation, while faithful to the story, is no slave to it, and he spins an enthrallingly distinct version of the Scottish play. The elderly king here is an Indian mob boss called Abbaji, Macbeth is his underling Maqbool, and Lady Macbeth is Abbaji's wicked mistress Nimmi, who goads Maqbool into supplanting Abbaji and claiming her as the reward. And instead of three witches, there are two comical astrologers.

Omkara

Omkara is a compelling adaptation of Shakespeare's Othello, with standout acting by all involved. The film is set in rural Uttar Pradesh, almost a modern "wild west" with its depiction of a hardscrabble life ruled by lawlessness and political corruption. Omkara is gripping from beginning to end as you watch Omkara's suspicion grow, fed by Langda's need for revenge. Ajay Devgan is at his smoldering best as Omkara/Othello and you will hardly recognize Saif Ali Khan in the Langda/Iago role; he excels in this villainous part, the kind of thing he does not usually play.
