Role:

Burlesque

There is, according to Burlesque, a nightclub on the Sunset Strip that looks like a blend of Cabaret and Moulin Rouge and employs a full contingent of dancers and musicians in the service of a neo-retro-burlesque-blues program. Presiding over the craziness within is Tess, a grande dame who also performs occasionally and who could only, under these circumstances, be played by Cher. Entering the scene is a young leather-lunged hopeful from Iowa named Ali, played by Christina Aguilera in her movie-acting debut.

While You Were Sleeping

If you don't mind a heavy dose of schmaltz and sentiment, this romantic comedy has a gentle way of seducing you with its charms. While You Were Sleeping was the first starring role for Sandra Bullock after her blockbuster success in Speed. In a role that nicely emphasizes her easygoing appeal, Bullock is the reason the movie works at all. She plays Lucy Eleanor Moderatz, a Chicago Transit tollbooth clerk who's hopelessly smitten with a daily commuter, Peter Callaghan (Peter Gallagher).

Summer Lovers

After the breezy successes of Grease and The Blue Lagoon, director Randal Kleiser made what can only be described as one of the greatest guilty-pleasure movies of all time. Summer Lovers is a bubble-brained movie if ever there was one, involving a love triangle between characters who have all the depth of a Calvin Klein commercial; but you don't care because the movie's so irresistibly alluring.

The Man Who Knew Too Little

Wallace Ritchie, an American vacationer in London, doesn't know that the bullets are real and the truth serum true. He thinks the intrigue erupting around him is part of an audience-participation theater event. Yet the world's fate depends on this gullible goofus who can't even spell CIA. Bill Murray is Ritchie, the naive spy who comes in very bold in The Man Who Knew Too Little. He can't believe how believable the make-believe is.

Covert Affairs: Season Five

It's been several months since the team took down Henry in Hong Kong, and change is afoot. Auggie (Christopher Gorham, Ugly Betty) is back at the DPD, Arthur (Peter Gallagher, The O.C.) is offered a job in the private sector working for McQuaid Security, and Joan (Kari Matchett, Leverage) is returning from maternity leave to find that she's been passed over for the job of DCS in favor of Calder (Hill Harper, The Boy Next Door).

Covert Affairs: Season Four

Everything changes for savvy CIA operative Annie Walker (Piper Perabo, Looper) in season three of the hit series Covert Affairs. Reassigned to a new and even more covert division of the Agency, Annie takes on missions that become personal and finds herself on dangerous forays into inhospitable territory, while a series of explosive revelations her to question her role and what (and who) matters most.

Covert Affairs: Season Two

Meet Annie Walker (Piper Perabo, Coyote Ugly): smart, stunning and the CIA's newest field operative in one of their most secretive branches. Suddenly summoned by headquarters for active duty one month before training is over, she's quickly thrown into a shadowy world full of cons, killers and international crime rings. What she doesn't know is there's something - or someone - from her past that her bosses want badly enough to put her in harm's way. She just has to survive long enough to find out why.
