Thank You For Smoking

As the saying goes, Aaron Eckhart was born to play Nick Naylor, the 30-something "voice of Big Tobacco" in this brazen satire of corporate profits and what lobbyists will do to protect them. Right from the opening, Eckhart is in spin mode, turning the tables on a popular talk show when he states health officials want a young teen stricken by cancer to die more than big tobacco does, since the boy would be a martyr to them, but only a single lost customer to the industry. Audiences gasp, panelists guffaw, and the kid happily shakes Nick's hand.

Wayne's World

It's Wayne's World, the hilarious, party-down movie, featuring rockin' tunes, radical babes, and your most excellent hosts, Wayne Campbell (Mike Myers) and Garth Algar (Dana Carvey). When a sleazy TV exec (Rob Lowe) offers Wayne and Garth a fat contract to tape their late night cable-access show at his network, the two can't believe their good fortune ("No way." "WAY!"). But they soon discover the road from basement to big time is a gnarly one, fraught with danger, temptation, and ragin' party opportunities. Can Wayne win the affections of rock goddess Cassandra (Tia Carrere)?

View From The Top

An ingeniously campy and enormously entertaining piece of fluff, View from the Top stars the impossibly lithe Gwyneth Paltrow as Donna, a white-trash girl with dreams of escaping her dead-end life by becoming an international flight attendant. Her destiny is complicated by a sweet guy (Mark Ruffalo) who just wants to live with his family in Cleveland and by a sister stewardess (Christina Applegate) who stabs Donna in the back.

St. Elmo's Fire

This excellent movie chronicles the lives of seven friends after their graduation from Georgetown University. Alec (Judd Nelson) is an aspiring politician who has become an aide to a United States Senator. His girlfriend Leslie (Ally Sheedy) is feeling pressured by Alec to make a commitment to marriage which she is not yet ready to make. Kevin (Andrew McCarthy) is a no-nonsense thinker in his views on life. He believes that there is no such thing as a good marriage, and people make their own happiness.

The Outsiders

They grew up on the outside of society. They weren't looking for a fight. They were looking to belong. In 1960's Tulsa, teenagers come two ways. If you're a "soc," you've got money, cars, a future. But if you're a "greaser," you're an outsider with only your friends...and a dream that someday you'll finally belong. Francis Coppola's powerful film of S.E. Hinton's classic novel captures how it feels to be caught between childhood's innocence and adulthood's disillusionment. The ensemble is a Who's Who of young talents of the past two decades: Matt Dillon, Tom Cruise, Emilio Estevez, C.

Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me

About Last Night...

Rob Lowe doesn't want to get serious. Demi Moore doesn't want to get used. Together, they're an unforgettable couple in the sexy contemporary comedy, About Last Night...
