Widely considered one of the world’s all-time greatest guitarists and known amongst his peers as a great collaborator, Eric Clapton organized the fifth installment of the Crossroads Guitar Festival. The Festival, which has become legendary in its own right for hosting performances and impromptu collaborations from the world’s most legendary guitar players, took place September 20-21, 2019 in the city that hosted the first-ever Crossroads Guitar Festival, Dallas Texas. Clapton gathered the past, present and future of guitar music onto one stage for an unparalleled musical event.

Eric Clapton assembled a who's who of guitar masters for his second stunning Crossroads Guitar Festival in 2007. Clapton invited old friends and new for the event in Chicago, with an all-star cast featuring Clapton, Steve Winwood, B.B. King, Robbie Robertson, Willie Nelson, Jeff Beck, Vince Gill, Sheryl Crow, Buddy Guy, Derek Trucks, John Mayer, Doyle Bramhall II, and more.

While the lead singers in rock, pop, and R&B are the ones who get the glory, knowledgeable music fans will tell you the backing vocalists often add the touches that make a performance truly memorable, and though many backup singers have the respect of their peers in the music business, they're all but unknown to the average listener.
