2 Ways 2 Skin A Groove, the super CD release by California guitarist Steve Fister, features another stellar line up: Tommy Aldridge, Eddie Tuduri, Tony Franklin, John Levesque, Carmine Appice, Jimmy Haslip, Bret Chassen and Lynn Fanelli. The album is a return to the song mix Fister used on his 1998 CD, "Shadow King" - six instrumentals and five vocal numbers. 2 Ways 2 Skin A Groove shows Fister continuing to hone his unique brand of rock, blues, jazz and fusion into emotionally charged songs. A showcase of hard driving grooves, wicked slide, wah-wah drenched solos - but also some jazzier moments.
