The heavy metal band Savatage's 1993 album Edge Of Thorns was their eighth studio album and the last album to contain the talents of guitarist Criss Oliva, who died tragically (killed by a drunk driver near Tampa) in the year of release. It is noteworthy for being the first Savatage album featuring Zachary Stevens (replacing Jon Oliva) on lead vocals.
