Los Lobos' Louie Perez once stated, "We were just kids with long hair and plaid shirts playing Mexican folk instruments." But the band became succesful blending a traditional Mexican sound with both blues and rockabilly. "How Will The Wolf Survive?" spent 34 weeks on the U.S. Billboard album charts and reached a peak position of #47 in early March 1985.
