Drummer Rick Allen lost his arm in a car crash (December 31, 1984), but his bandmates never lost faith in him, and Allen learned to play all his drum parts with his feet. The 1987 single "Pour Some Sugar on Me" became a huge hit for the band, while "Hysteria" itself sold over 25 million copies worldwide, including 12 million in the US, and spawning six other hit singles. "Hysteria" charted at #1 on both the Billboard 200 and the UK Albums Chart.
