The North American anti-terrorist force Team America attacks a group of terrorist in Paris. Later, the leader of the organization, Spottswoode, invites the famous Broadway actor Gary Johnston to join his world police and work undercover in Cairo in a terrorist organization and disclose their plan of destroying the world. The Team America destroy the cell of terrorists, but then the Panama Canal is attacked by the criminals as a payback. Gary feels responsible for the death of many innocents and leaves the counter-terrorism organization.

Some comedy is like a scalpel; the Scary Movie series is a hand grenade, spewing bodily fluids and big-breasted women in all directions as they lampoon the latest horror. In Scary Movie 4's case, the main targets are War of the Worlds, The Village, The Grudge, Saw, and Tom Cruise jumping all over Oprah's couch (the scariest of the lot). Along the way, potshots get taken at non-horror fare like Brokeback Mountain and Million Dollar Baby, as well as obvious targets like Michael Jackson and George W. Bush, among others.

It's not Blazing Saddles, but there are some chuckles to be found in Mel Brooks's 1993 spoof of the Robin Hood legend. Cary Elwes is Robin (with a lighthearted jab at Kevin Costner's bad English accent in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves), while Richard Lewis plays an angst-ridden King John, and Roger Rees a snotty Sheriff of Nottingham. Comic David Chappelle has some good moments as the only black member of Robins's noble thieves, and Brooks does his own spin on Friar Tuck: Rabbi Tuchman.

Movie-kinetics genius. Kung Fu Hustle takes the gleeful mayhem of Hong Kong action movies, the deadpan physical humor of silent comedies, and the sheer elasticity of Wile E. Coyote cartoons and fuses them into a spectacle that is simple in its joys and mind-boggling in its orchestration. A run-down slum has been poor but peaceful until a bunch of black-suited gangsters called the Axe Gang show up to cause trouble--and discover that, hidden among the humble poor, are three kung fu masters trying to live an ordinary life.

Fran Rubel Kuzui's 1992 tongue-in-cheek vampire comedy is sugarcoated horror, an unusual mix of the cute and scary, with a splash of postmodern pop nonsense to give culture critics something to think about. Kristy Swanson plays a Valley Girl who learns she belongs to a line of ancient vampire killers. After training under the watchful eye of a mentor (Donald Sutherland), she becomes a spandex-wearing, kung-fu kicking, stake-stabbing babe and the mortal enemy of a narcissistic master vampire (Rutger Hauer).

Superstars Burt Reynolds and D.L. Hughley are hilarious in the funniest sports comedy since Dodgeball! When perpetual loser Billy Cole (Reynolds) eats lunch at super-sexy strip club Cloud 9, it's not for the show ñ it's for the free buffet! But he scores big by forming the world's sexiest beach volleyball team ñ with the strippers! As the girls' popularity swells, though, they want to seduce crowds with their abilities, not their bods.

One of Roman Polanski's more overt comedies, this 1966 monster spectacle stars Jack MacGowran and Polanski as a clunky but heroic pair of vampire killers. Called upon to rescue the beautiful and buxom daughter (Sharon Tate) of an innkeeper from a Draculalike bloodsucker, the duo muddle through all sorts of scrapes, the most intense being a scene in which a room full of dancing vampires realize the human interlopers are the only ones in the room who are reflected in a mirror.

From the creator of Sledge Hammer comes Hexed, a side-splitting spoof of erotic thrillers, starring Arye Gross and Claudia Christian. Gross is Matthew, a humble hotel clerk who dreams of bigger things. Christian is Hexina, a world-famous model. When she checks into Matthew's hotel, he lies his way into a date with her. But after an evening of hilarious, heart-stopping sex, Matthew realizes that Hexina's insatiable lust for sex is topped only by her lust for blood, and he's now her prime target.

Murder in the first. Comedy every second. Framed for the shooting of a corporate moneybag, Ryan Harrison has been Wrongfully Accused! He's also been Rightfully Cast. Leslie Nielsen, comedy's most bent straight arrow, portrays Harrison in the directorial debut of screenwriter Pat Proft, whose credits include the Naked Gun and Hot Shots! movies. Like so many heroes before him, Harrison's gotta do what a hero's gotta do. (Only he does it funnier.) Clear his name. Find a one-armed, one-legged, one-eyed criminal. Evade a manhunt. Plunge over a waterfall.

There's almost always something to laugh at (Los Angeles Times) at City Hospital, where the amorous young interns think that love - or at least lust - is the cure for everything! Michael McKean (A Mighty Wind), Sean Young (Fatal Instinct), Hector Elizondo ("Chicago Hope"), Harry Dean Stanton (Anger Management) and Michael Richards ("Seinfeld") star in this "refreshingly wacky" (LA Herald-Examiner) hospital parody from the director of Overboard and Runaway Bride! The new interns at City Hopsital are desperatley hoping to survive their first year of residentcy...
