Narragansett Fest blends a rich malt profile with a subtly crisp hoppiness for a taste that even Gambrinus, the Patron Saint of Beer, would find refreshing. So we offer this beer as a tribute to him, which is fitting, as his statue toasted all arriving visitors and workers outside our original Cranston, RI brewery fir decades.

The Beer Can section is a virtual homage to the American beer-can collecting craze of the 1970s. The rise of thousands of microbreweries have made 'dump scouring' or digging for old beer cans in the woods and abandoned campgrounds a thing of the past. The thousands of young men who could pick up a can in any vacant lot when the hobby was at its zenith in the 1970s have grown up - but fortunately may now find hundreds of colorful cans (full of good brew) within mere miles of their homes.

Brewer's Exegesis

Based on the "Bavarian" style beer that Narragansett produced in the '60s and '70s, this elegant Oktoberfest style Marzen is brewed with the highest quality German malts and hops. Weyermann's Munich malt creates a rich bready and toasty base, while the noble Tettnang hops add a crisp, but subtle and dry spiced finish. King Gambrinus would be proud! Food pairings: All things pork will pair perfectly. Try grilled pork chops or a roasted pork loin. Better yet, let the malty sweetness balance out some spice from dry rubbed pork ribs.
