Sumo Danko vs. King Dragon Fish: Two men enter, one man leaves.
Sumo Danko hails from the backhills of Georgia, is feared and revered for his fists of fury, oversized sack of hops, low-grade narcolepsy, and a penchant for buggery.
King Dragon Fish is a mountain dweller from TaHellYaRide, with an insane ability to break trees with his ankles, occasional bouts with gout and high altitude tommy boy foolishness; usually found face down.
The fighters strapped on their mawashis and laid the base for the brawl with 2-Row Wheat, Carapils, Oat Flakes and Rye - both Sumos anticipating a high alc 7.5% ABV encounter. Sensing hop superiority, Danko charged forward, slapping bellies with Dragon Fish, delivering a fresh wasabi chop that blew out his mawashi. The wasabi blast finished it off with a stinging euphoria that opened the Sumos' senses, cleared their minds, and made them want to jump in for round two.

The Beer Can section is a virtual homage to the American beer-can collecting craze of the 1970s. The rise of thousands of microbreweries have made 'dump scouring' or digging for old beer cans in the woods and abandoned campgrounds a thing of the past. The thousands of young men who could pick up a can in any vacant lot when the hobby was at its zenith in the 1970s have grown up - but fortunately may now find hundreds of colorful cans (full of good brew) within mere miles of their homes.

Brewer's Exegesis

Chris Fish, Brewmaster at Telluride Brewing Co., recently ventured to Atlanta to meet up with SweetWater’s Nick Nock so the two could share the ol’ Dank Tank for a little collaboration action. After the two explored Atlanta’s Buford Highway, a culinary playground of international cuisine, they returned to the brewery with the inspiration to brew something with wasabi. That something became Torikumi Wasabi Infused Blonde Ale (7.5% ABV and 27 IBUs). The addition of wasabi provides some “serious heat” to the Blonde Ale base, making the beer a perfect candidate to enjoy as a pairing for a wide variety of dishes.
